SPRING-SUMMER 2020

HAUTE COUTURE SHOW

MILAN

DEEP DIVE INTO CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE

Talk about history, we grew up believing in our culture and heritage. By passing down the pluralistic richness of Indonesian batik, reflects an endlessly treasured savoir-faire. Inspired by the warmth of its artistic and poetic heritage, by its folklore and the soul of its craft. Starting from our premise, we hybridize with various cultures across the world. Through symbiotic collaborations, the brand challenges the future of fashion by rethinking previously unimaginable ways of Haute Couture.

Lucas Cranach the Elder’s creation framed in a floral spread was the core principles to which the “Pilgrimage” collection embodied. Set in a garden, where a man and woman stand near a tree surrounded by animals and plants. We contemplated Cranach’s painting compositions has depicted utter interpretation of ancestral journeys. When we heeded the word “ancestor,” it visualizes the interpretation of human kind, and ignores all beings have ancestors who pass on values of life to the next ages. Yes, It is the portrayal of early life, diverse but interwoven in harmony and beauty. If there was a word that crystallised this season’s creative couture spirit, it was not ‘tech’ but ‘nature’.
